BIO

Paweł Fabjański is a visual artist and photographer. He graduated from the Łódź University of Technology and from the Film School in Łódź, where he runs a commercial photography studio. He is represented by three agencies: ShootMe, Take Productions, and Pink Productions. His practice focuses on combining creative and artistic photography with commercial and fashion photography. He has received prizes in the Advertisement Creators Club competition and a Silver Lion at the ad festival in Cannes. His photographs have been featured in the 200 Best Ad Photographers Worldwide photobook, published by the prestigious Luerzer's Archive, and have been singled out by “Best-in-Book” in Creative Review photography magazine.

Autofire is a photography series that speaks of uncertainty and indecision, created at a time when the artist had crossed the symbolic threshold of thirty years old. For many this is a moment of uncertainty and instability in life. Fabjański wanted to portray “every” thirty-year-old in his work. The figure of the young man contrasts with the cold, empty, big-city architecture. The title Autofire pertains to the joystick button which lets you shoot non-stop in a computer game.
