Puro Art
Collection
The PURO art collection plays an integral role in each of our hotels. It draws upon the breadth of the visual arts – comprising a variety of pieces that differ in form – to present the talents of creatives whom we admire. The selected works exist in dialogue with the cities in which they are situated, inviting guests and the local community to explore and learn more about the surrounding culture. The collection is open for all curious minds to embrace.

The fall season is undoubtedly the busiest period for the arts community, returning after the vacation period with a full institutional program. Here is an overview of the most interesting cultural events from all corners of Poland, for the end of this year and the beginning of the next one.
Imagine walking through a forest and coming across a sculpture by Tony Cragg, perfectly integrated into nature. A little bit further, red with white dots tentacles by Yayoi Kusama protrude from the water. There is a place about an hour's drive from the centre of Oslo where such views really do exist. Kistefos is a spectacular intervention of art into Norway's wilderness.
Warsaw, like any proper capital city and art center, never sleeps, and is always in developing vibrantly. Though the famous pavilion of the Museum of Modern Art on the Vistula is vanishing, having spent the last few years as a great place for a stroll in the spring and summer, there are many new and exciting adventures before us.
"The motifs in my work are destruction, the decay of reality, pathological and toxic relationships between people" says Jakub Gliński in the third episode of "Behind the Art" video, produced by PURO.
Until 24 November, the Polish Pavilion at the Venice Art Biennale is hosting an audiovisual video installation by the Ukrainian collective Open Group. "Repeat After Me II" is a portrait of witnesses to the war in Ukraine. The video works on display were created in 2022 and 2024. We talk to Marta Czyż, curator of the exhibition.
"I treat the picture like an object. It’s not just its surface that interests me, but also its spatiality and material, which usually gets pushed to the sidelines" says Bartosz Kokosiński in the second episode of "Behind the Art" video, produced by PURO.
On the 9th of November we’ll find out the winners of the 46th edition of the Bielska Jesień. One of the most important art competitions in Poland, Bielska Jesień has been promoting contemporary art and setting trends in the art market for more than 60 years.
Warsaw Gallery Weekend (WGW) is an event we look forward to all year. During the last weekend of September (28th of September to 1st of October), visitors can view contemporary art exhibitions at 37 independent galleries scattered around Warsaw. We talk to the person who knows all about WGW. Joanna Witek-Lipka, director of WGW, has been running the event for the past five years.
For years, Prague has been a fashionable destination for a city break or a weekend trip. The city is back on its feet after the lockdowns and the phases of the pandemic. The tourists come for the beautiful architecture (Gothic and Baroque churches, modernist buildings), the colorful history, cuisine, the beer-brewing tradition, and the locals’ laid-back attitude. For some time now we have seen a growing interest in Czechia, and in Prague in particular, among contemporary art lovers. The local art scene, art institutions, and private galleries are vibrant and quite active, and the city itself is buzzing with visual arts and electronic music.
"I get inspiration for painting as if I’d like to eat what I see. The physicality of the picture is important, as is the fact that the outcome of my work is an object" says Magdalena Karpińska, the heroine of the first episode of "Behind the Art" video, produced by PURO.

It is also a city designed for people: it has bike paths, beaches right downtown, and network of picturesque canals. All this makes Copenhagen is special place, always ready to be rediscovered.
